Basically, this form of government prescribes that a City Council’s role is that of a legislative policy-making body which determines not only the local laws that regulate community life, but also determines what the public policy is and gives direction to the City Manager to administer the affairs of the city government in a businesslike and prudent manner.
Members of the public are invited to attend City Council meetings held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 1201 Civic Center Boulevard. Call 530-822-4602 for more information.
